
Anti-wrinkle injections
Anti-wrinkle injections (Botox, Azzalure, Bocuture, Dysport) stop the action of the muscles responsible for the dynamic wrinkles. A small injection of botulinum toxin paralyses part of the muscle which in turn stops the wrinkling of the overlying skin. This stops the formation of wrinkles during facial expression but also reduces the formation of more long term static wrinkles. Using accurate technique and the correct doses will reduce wrinkling whilst maintaining facial expression to avoid the unnatural “frozen face” look.
